Back to School Klap-In
The Konnection proudly hosts its Annual Back-to-School Klap-In each year to celebrate and welcome Detroit students, families, and educators back for a brand-new school year. This high-energy community event brings together volunteers, partners, and supporters to create a joyful first-day experience filled with music, cheering, giveaways, community resources, and special guests.
The Klap-In serves as a powerful reminder to students that their community is rooting for their success from day one. Families can also explore local resources, programs, and opportunities through our community resource fair.
Join us on Monday, August 31st, 2026, as we kick off the 2026–27 school year together! Bring your friends, family, coworkers, or volunteer team and help us create an unforgettable welcome for Detroit youth.
